Today, 2008 China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE 2008) is held successfully in China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) in Beijing. 

Influenced by the American financial crisis, and the declination of international economy, the preparation for CIAPE 2008 has faced great difficulties. However, CIAPE 2008 has developed a lot compared with the year 2007. The floorage of exhibition expanded to 80,000 square meters from 50,000 square meters and the international exhibitors has increased by 110% compared with 2007. Both the quality and quantity of professional purchasers have improved greatly.

CIAPE 2008 involves a wide spectrum of participating companies which include Bosch, Denso, NGK, Hitachi, TÜV Rheinland, Dow Corning, SAIC, Fawer, Dongfeng, Beijing Hainachuan Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., China National Heavy-Duty Truck Group, Wanxiang Group, Wuxu Diesel Engine Works, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Wanfeng Auto, Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd., Ruili Group, Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd, etc. and other well selected auto parts companies from all the 12 state approved automotive industry bases, including Changchun, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, Wuhu, Taizhou, Xiamen, Hefei, Guangzhou, Baoding, Liuzhou, and the industrial chain areas in 27 provinces and cities.

Companies from U.S., South Korea, Germany, India, Iran, Turkey, Canada, Brazil, England, Hongkong and Taiwan, etc. have all participated in the exhibition. Some famous international organizations of quality, standards, testing and training will also display themselves in CIAPE 2008 as service providers.

CIAPE 2008 has established special halls for China's domestic vehicle brands and tuning cars. In China's Domestic Vehicle Hall, 16 domestic automobile groups including Chery, Geely, the Great Wall and Yutong have brought about 70 cars, buses and commercial vehicles for display. And the Tuning Car Hall has attracted around 150 different tuning cars from SEMA and China's domestic refitting companies and shops like The Way, AM, Sky, M1000 and CMS (China).

The authoritative and instructive fringe activities are one outstanding characteristic of CIAPE. Under the theme of "communication, cooperation, development and win-win", the Summit Forum was held at the Great Hall of the People on November 11. Governmental officials such as Mr. Jiang Yaoping, Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce, CEOs from multinational automobile and auto parts companies, leadership from famous international automotive associations shared their views with managers, researchers, media and industrial professionals. In CIAPE Beijing Technology Seminar, experts invited by SAE International will discuss about the 30 technologies that will be adapted in the future automotive industry and the developing trends. This will widen horizon of managers, engineers, scholars technicians and R&D personnel in automobile and auto parts companies. In other accompanying forums such as CIAPE Beijing Global Sourcing Forum, Chrysler Purchasing Special Session, AAIA Seminar and BME match-making meeting, lectures will be delivered on purchasing rules and case study by enterprises from US, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France and China. This will meet with the multi-level requirements of auto parts production and circulation enterprises. In addition, the 12 automobile and auto parts export bases and China Automotive Technology and Research Center organized an International Conference on Policies and Regulations of Major Oversea Automobile Markets. Authoritative experts were invited from 10 countries with the largest trade volume of Chinese whole cars to give speeches and bring virtual help to the export of China's domestic automobile manufacturers. Seminar on inviting outside investment organized by the auto mall in Michigan is greatly supported by the Commercial Service of Embassy of the United States of America and Ministry of Commerce of China. It provided Chinese automobile and auto parts companies with a unique opportunity to enter into the service, logistics, R&D and manufacturing markets in North America. Besides, regional trade and match-making meetings will be held according to their geographic location in Asia, Europe, Oceania, Ameica, Canada and Commonwealth of Independent States, etc. This will meet with diverse requirements of companies to explore the international markets. These high-level forums and match-making meetings are value-added services provided by the Organizer to exhibitors and purchasers.

The Organizing Committee of CIAPE also provides shuttle buses near the subway station of Dongzhimen, Tiantongyuan Bei, and Terminal 2 of Airport for the convenience of exhibitors and visitors.

2008 China International Auto Parts Expo continues to follow the principle of internationalization, market requirements, standardization and protection of intellectual property rights. It provides both exhibitors and purchasers from China and abroad with an excellent platform for exhibition, trade, communication and cooperation.
